Elsa’s Week In Outfits – 9th November ♥

1. We were not really doing anything for Halloween so I didn’t go down the ‘fancy dress’ route but instead we had a generally spooky themed outfit in a beautiful handmade dress by The Princess and The Frock. The vibrant green dress is covered with bats and up close the fabric has a glittery finish. I hope it fits again next year! Elsa finished the outfit off with Ivor Spider Slugs & Snails!

2. We a bargain at What Elsa Wears Towers and we picked up this super soft cashmere mix Bonnie Baby Panda jumper dress in the sale last winter. Lovely and cosy for winter days. Unfortunately this Mama doesn’t own any cashmere herself!

3. As part of the Lilly & Sid ‘Dream Team’ we wearing their clothes. I love the length of this cosy sweater dress, perfect for showing off lovely toddler legs!

4. Elsa was not entirely thrilled with our trip to Ikea but did love showing off her Fun Guy Slugs & Snails tights!

5. A rainbow day! Kicking leaves in a crochet dress by Frank & Olive and JoJo Maman Bebe.

6. A fabulous bright outfit, Elsa is wearing a Maxomorra doggy dress from Little Sunflowers, tights from Aldi (!!), Livie & Luca Petal shoes and this awesome pom pom hat from M&S.

7. Elsa’s mustard yellow coat is ‘vintage’ (a hand-me-down from Big Cousin Lillia). She is wearing it with her knee high Happy Socks and perfectly co-ordinating chubby thighs. Delicious!

Elsa’s Week In Outfits – A long overdue catch up ♥

After a busy and eventful few months in which Elsa has continued to be a mini fashionista but this Mama has fallen woefully behind with recording it, Elsa’s Week In Outfits is back!

And here is a little catch up of our favourite outfits from the last couple of months!

Top of the list of our favourites is this amazing rainbow striped Molo raincoat from Little Sunflowers. Every single time Elsa’s wears this she gets positive comments, it is so bright and cheery!

We had been coveting this for Elsa’s birthday and it certainly didn’t disappoint when it arrived. How could anyone not love dressing as a cat?! This amazing dress is by Wild Things and bought from Freckled Frog.

We always love a bit of Maxomorra and this ladybird top is no exception. Worn with Levis jeggings this super cute top from KyNa Boutique has been worn to death since we got it.

I had forgotten about this Oh Baby London dress that was tucked away at the back of Elsa’s wardrobe waiting for her to grow into it. When she wore it last week we had endless comments about it all day and I think it is one of my all time favourites.

Last but definitely not least, the new Slugs and Snails tights designs were launched a few weeks ago and we cannot get enough of the gorgeous penguins on the Chill design. The perk of running an online shop is that Elsa got to put these beauties on as soon as all the stock arrived!

Almost Two! A Birthday Wishlist.

Once again birthday month is upon us. I can’t believe that two years ago I was on Maternity Leave and making the most of the last of the summer sun by lazing in the garden like a giant beached whale.

Being very advanced for her age, Elsa has written down exactly what she would like for her birthday!

First up she asked for a dolls house. Finding something that is gender neutral and not gaudy pink is easier said than done. I came across this gorgeous Melissa & Doug Hi Rise Doll House at The Little Land. It is gender neutral (as house tend to be in reality!) and because of the open sides it looks to be ideal for Elsa and her cousins to play with at the same time.

M&D Hi Rise

I have also found a super cute, matching car to go in the garage of Elsa’s new des-res. It only seems to be available on Amazon at the moment, so if any independents out there stock it let me know! I would rather buy from you.

We already have a Corby Tindersticks Weather Map from Burp Boutique which Elsa loves so I have treated her to the Corby Tindersticks Clock from Beenie Buds & Co. Whilst Elsa is too young for learning about the time so loves moving the clouds and sunshine round on the weather map so I think she will enjoy the clock just as much.

And finally, we can’t let Elsa’s birthday pass without a bit of fashion. Ever since we received the Wild Things Fox dress earlier this year I have been thinking about how the Cat dress would be perfect for Halloween. So we have our eyes on this Wild Things Cat Dress at Freckled Frog. Perfect for Autumnal days & spooky nights!

Elsa Loves……..The Princess & The Frock ♥

Around the time of Elsa’s birthday in September last year I was looking for something a bit special for her to wear on the day, but something that was at the same time practical and we would get plenty of wear from.

After searching high and low and not really finding what I was looking for I remembered seeing beautiful handmade dresses by The Princess & The Frock on Twitter.

I ordered a gorgeous dress for Elsa, it came within a few days but sadly it was too big for her. I contacted the lovely Claire at The Princess & The Frock who kindly offered to exchange the dress. But I like it so I thought I’d just buy another, smaller one instead. Elsa became the proud owner of two Princess & The Frock dresses and so a beautiful love affair began!

The dress that Elsa ended up wearing on her birthday (top left) is Jungle Drums. This collage shows what brilliant value The Princess & The Frock dresses are. This dress is age 6-12 months. Elsa has been wearing this dress now for 8 months and I think she has still got another couple of months wear in it. The bottom right photo was taken last week, the day after Elsa turned 20 months.

The day dresses are a fabulous, simple, comfortable shape with plenty of freedom for playing and room for growing and they are very reasonably priced at just £20 (plus there are often limited edition dresses starting at just £12!). I personally would rather spend £20 on a dress that has been lovingly handmade by a very clever Mama than an identikit dress from Next that a million other kids will be wearing.

The Princess & The Frock do dresses for all occasions, including the beautiful Fairy Tale Collection. Elsa has the Snow White dress which she proudly wore on our recent holiday to Disney World.

And I have to mention the recent addition to the Fairy Tale Collection – The Snow Queen. Everyone’s favourite Disney film of the moment, Frozen, is also based on Hans Christian Anderson’s The Snow Queen and this beautiful dress draws inspiration from Queen Elsa. I definitely need one for my own Queen Elsa!

I cannot recommend Claire & The Princess & The Frock highly enough. Lovingly handmade, excellent quality and a fantastic service. Plus a beautiful little dress that you won’t see every other little girl wearing.
**Elsa was kindly gifted the Ice Cream dress by The Princess & The Frock, but I bought all the other dresses Elsa wears. We were not asked to write this piece at all, all opinions are my own, we just love The Princess & The Frock!**
